Tuppence a Bag Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

NidoMio: Guess the downtown London repairs resulted in the removal of this cache. As with all my caches, the camo was unique, so I'm archiving it. :(

Geocache Description:

Welcome to Downtown London! Congratulations to HugoNaDie (& his wife) for this FTF!

This is a small cache for a small park. I didn't even realize this city park was here until I went looking for places in London proper where I could put out some caches.

Incorporated in 1882, London was a bustling town of many firsts for things west of the Arkansas Post: 1st steamboat stop, 1st blacksmith, 1st school & boarding school, 1st post office, 1st ferry, 1st Doctor's office, 1st Christian marriage & funeral, and the end of the line for the 1st stagecoach in the area. Thanks to Mr. Clarence Price, the first postmaster of London (served 40 years) & Mayor for 2 terms, London was able to lure new residents with the luxuries of gas, electricity, and water.

London is also the birthplace of Brooks Hays, Democrat to the Seventy-eighth and to the seven succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1943-January 3, 1959). Brooks Hays also served as Arkansas Assistant Attorney General (1925-27).

The cache container is...well if I told you that, it would ruin it for you! However, I will tell you that it only has room for very small trading items. No matter what your gpsr tells you, the cache is NO where near the train tracks!

I think I've appropriately rated the cache, but should it need updating or if the cache needs maintenance please let me know. With the Blessing of the London Mayor himself, City Hall will be looking forward to watching you seek this cache! I personally look forward to hearing all of your adventures!
