Geocache Description:

Number one in our Historic East Texas series. This was placed at the Confederate Mothers Memorial by the Courthouse, but it was too close to the existing virtual so we had to move it. If you haven't already visited the Confederate Memorial, it's worth a stop. Mothers Pride is now about 20 miles west and marks another example of a mothers pride and pain. This is a PB jar size cache with original contents of:
Tiki Totem Pole
Pretty Blue Stone
Glow-in-the-Dark Beads
Eyeball
Elk Coin
Silver Ring
Red Cross Pin

This site has an oral history dating prior to 1850.
