The is the fourth cache in an inaptly named trilogy of caches that will give you a vital clue as to the whereabouts of a fifth cache called “Akamas Stanley's Last Cache At the End Of The Universe” which will become part five in the trilogy of four. The caches can be done in any order, but you will need all four to get the coordinates of the finale. However, to avoid lots of doubling back, I suggest that you start from Part 1 and work through.
The caches have been set to take you on a trail of the Akamas. The journey is every bit a part of the cache experience as the actual position itself.
This cache is located in an area called Locality Pyrgos Tis Rigaenas and is an area criss-crossed with nature trails from Aphrodite's Baths. If as a child you used to climb you will find this Quercus Infectus. So don't look on the ground instead think of Men in Tights.
The cache itself is a grey plastic pipe sealed at both ends. Inside you will find the value of “D”. Having got the value of “D” you are one step closer to knowing where Akamas Stanley's Cache At the End Of The Universe is.
The Quest and the individual caches will all require a 4WD vehicle, especially the finale, and some good walking shoes.
To those who don't know the Akamas it is the last area of natural wilderness left in Cyprus and can be both remote and challenging in places. Be sure that your vehicle is in good condition, check the spare, and make sure you have water and a mobile phone with you. Don't expect to be able to complete the trilogy of five in one day, there's a lot of off-road and dirt track driving involved.
Surprisingly considering it's location, this cache is often visited by passing muggles, who are very welcome but it may be unwise to leave a travel bug here.
As always in Cyprus be aware of snakes especially when looking under rocks.
