Geocache Description:

The 2005 MiGO Fall Fun Day theme was "Tour D' Midland" and took cachers to 18 parks throughout Midland. This is "Tour D' Midland - the abbreviated version". 4 stops in parks I particularly enjoyed discovering.

Second stop on our tour is Chestnut Hill park.

There are over 80 parks in the city of Midland, of all types -- large and small, open playgrounds and undeveloped wooded areas. The Midland City Parks Dept "Passport To Parks Guidebook" has details of all the parks and their locations. It is available online in 4 pdf files on their home page:

Midland City Parks Homepage

From the "Passport to Parks" guidebook:
Chestnut Hill Park
Located adjacent to Chestnut Hill Elementary School on Chestnut Hill Dr. off E. Sugnet Rd.

Chestnut Hill Park is a 4.2 acre natural forest area. During the summer months, the dense coverage makes it a popular location for games of capture the flag and hide and seek. During the winter, its hilly terrain is perfect for sledding.

There are several ways into the park. One is to park at the end of Sugnet Rd. at N43 37.841 - W84 11.681
