How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
This cache has a task for you...
You`ll get to know the task by finding this cache and opening the container.
The Cache is nearby the "Ermita de Betlem" in the north-eastern part of Mallorca. You will find the cache at the coordinates given above. The container used to be a very luxurious one, being made of stainless steel until it got stolen in the first part of Oktober 2007. Seems like Geocaching has reached parts of our society that were not ment to do so... It is hidden nearby a tree under a few stones. You will find the necessary instructions inside the cache, in the three languages: espaniol, english and deutsch.
Don`t miss to visit an old military planespotting building nearby at: N39°44.282/E003°18.453. It is a bit more up the hill.
There you will find nice paintings of WW2 Airplanes inside the larger house.
There are two ways of getting to the cache:
1. Take the road from the town of Artà to the Ermita de Betlem. By visiting our other Cache: "Santuari de San Salvador" (GCQXCR) you will find a roadsign at the foot of the Santuari, showing the right road to "Ermita de Betlem". The tour up the hills by car is very impressive due to the many serpentines.
2. Take the road to the small settlement of Betlem at the seaside and start a walk of about 50 minutes up to the "Ermita de Betlem". The hiking symbol is positioned at: N39°44.944/E003°18.690
This is our finest cache on the isle of mallorca, so please be careful and take good care for muggles.
Our friend, living in Artà will keep an eye on it.
