Geocache Description:

This cache is inside a building which is open almost 80 hours per week (closed Saturdays; Sunday mornings) but open to 9 p.m. most Sunday-Thursday during the fall and spring semesters (September - April).

At this location is a collection of stacked stones, installed when the west entrance to Deike building was renovated in 2007. These stacked stones (also known as cairns or obos (Japanese)) are glacial erratics - small boulders left behind by glaciers – from a quarry near Erie, Pennsylvania.

To find the next clue to the By George geocache, count the number of stones in the ‘snowmen’ stacks. Multiply that number by the number of words above the entry doors to Deike. From that number, subtract the number of words above the entry doors. This sum is the room number in Deike building where By George can be found. To see the snowmen being constructed and installed, visit this page from Derek Kalp .
