Geocache Description:

This cache is a flare tube placed at Rood Recreation Area.

Rood Recreation Area is a Corps of Engineers park along Lake Walter F. George. The park is beautiful with spanish moss and great water views. The park provides a boat ramp, fishing, picnic tables and primitive camping. This is a terrific place to spend a Sunday afternoon with the family. The park is closed November through March so the cache is placed outside the gated area of the park. A relatively short and nice walk through the woods.
