Tanks Calamity Traditional Cache
Cache Hawks: This cache has had a long and enjoyable run, but I am archiving it now because the cache container is going missing too aften. I know how difficult it can be to look for a cache in a location like this, so I put the container in an easily accesible spot and gave specific instructions as to where it was. However, every time I make a visit it is not where it should be and visitors are having to spend far too long looking for it, usually without success. Thanks to all who have found and enjoyed this cache.

A quick Cache-n-Go for the busy geocacher
Since most of our cache hides are either puzzles or multi-stage caches we thought it was time to place a simple, easy to find cache. This one is located on an old M4A2 Sherman Tank displayed in front of the Royal Canadian Legion in downtown Sarnia.
The tank was dedicated in 1970 and an additional commemorative plaque was added in 1994 for the 50th anniversary of the D-Day Invasion at Normandy. It was dedicated to the soldiers of the 1st Hussars who fought and gave their lives in the European campaigns.
This type of Sherman tank mounted a 75 mm gun, a .50 cal machine gun and two .30 cal machine guns. It was powered by twin, 6-cyl diesel engines and was designed for a sustained speed of 25 mph. The tank was operated by a 5 man crew: the commander in the turret right rear, a gunner in the turret right front, a loader in the turret left rear, a driver in the hull left front and an assistant driver in the hull right front.
Enjoy your visit and have fun looking for the cache. You are looking for a micro container with room for a log only. Bring your own pen or pencil.
