Geocache Description:

This easy, suburban micro is the first of several nostalgia caches by Extreme Walker.

In 1965 I lived nearby on Logan Drive and attended Pensacola Junior College. In those days there was a dirt road that ran through the woods from Logan Dr. to Summit Blvd. I used that short cut to get to class every day. The road no longer exists as the area now has a driving range, a recycling center and the runway safety zone but the old road came out in this general vicinity.
Bring your cans and bottles to be recycled, look for a small camouflaged container near the parking area and imagine a time when the runway was shorter, Summit Blvd. was red clay, Old Spanish Trail was two sandy ruts and the woods were not off limits.
