I placed this cache here in memory of my good friend Gary Hudson. Gary was killed in a plane crash near Cold Bay, Alaska on May 21, 2004. Gary was a guide for brown bear and sheep in Alaska, where he had just completed a sucessful brown bear hunt. The bush pilot had flown the hunter and his brown bear out to safety then came back for Gary and the rest of the hunting gear. The plane went down, killing Gary, but the pilot survived. Gary wintered in Yuma, Arizona and he would get into shape for his guiding by hiking to the top of the Gila Mountains about two or three times a week.
