This cache is located in the Camp Loretta Camp Ground. This was once the site of CCC Camp 648 that ran from 1933-1942. All that remains of the original CCC Camp are some concrete foundations and rubble. Today it is a public camp ground and it is also the trail head of the Dead Horse Run ATV and snowmobile trail. The Brunet River is located on the south side of the camp ground and the Chequamegon National Forest spans out to the north.
