Mother Road #15 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Chuck Walla: Hello AlohaTalkStory,

I see that you have not checked on your geocache and addressed the issue with it. Nor, alternatively, have you posted a note to your geocache page to tell me and others of your intention to address the issue with it.

No response tells me that you are not planning on replacing or repairing this geocache. Therefore, I am archiving it.

Please note that this geocache cannot be unarchived if you later address the issue with it. You will need to create a new geocache listing and submit it for review if you intend to keep a geocache at this location.

Geocache Description:

Congratulations to bewe, Nibble and mellonhead for CO-FTF!

U.S. Route 66 is affectionately called the "Mother Road." It went from Chicago to Los Angeles. It was the subject of a TV show and a popular song, "Get Your Kicks On Route 66." The highway has been decommissioned and now, in Western Oklahoma, it is replaced by Interstate 40. In a few places I-40 was built right over the old road. However, in most places you can still see the old road. Let's go see it!!

For more information on Route 66, please go to Route 66, Enjoy the Ride!

The cache container is a waterproof match container, painted to blend. It is a plastic tube about four inches long and about an inch in diameter. There are no trading items or writing instrument. There's only a log sheet.
