This cache was adopted by The Drama Queen in April 2007. This cache
was placed by Amy of the Landsharkz when she was 8 years old in an
area called Dog Walker's Loop. It is to commemorate the 25th
anniversary of Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope.
Amy wrote the following text in Grade 3:
Terry Fox was the Greatest Canadian Hero. He ran to raise money for
cancer research and his goal was to raise $1.00 from every
Canadian. He reached this goal before he died and today more than
$300 million has been raised all over the world in Terry’s name.
Terry ran till he couldn’t run any more. He had to stop the
Marathon of Hope because he was dying. Help us make sure his
Marathon will continue for years to come. Bravery is everything and
hope helps too. Terry Fox will run in our hearts for ever.
Somewhere, sometime, the hurting has to stop!
This cache was placed to remember the 25th anniversary of Terry
Fox’s incredible run.
