This cache is located at the 1844 Doty Pioneer house. The house and the adjecent pioneer barn are operated by the Oxford Museum Association as a memorial to the freedom-loving people who laid the foundation of the American land.
Welcome to Butler County, a friendly place to visit with a variety of rural, suburban and small city neighborhoods, parks, historical sites and outdoor art to enjoy as you search for the geocaches. Butler County borders I-75 midway between Dayton and Cincinnati and extends to the Indiana border to the west.
If the park is closed, there is parking enough for two vehicles at the gate. The Oxford Museum Association assures that we have permission to be on the property even if the gates are closed! There are very limited hours that the site is open, but you can look for the cache at any time.
This cache was originally placed as part of a series of 11 caches as part of a Butler County Highlight Tour and was courtesy of the Butler County Tourism Council (BCTC), a volunteer group promoting economic development in Butler County through tourism. Now (as of 7/19/16) four are left. The original list is in the Bookmark List to the right. Please visit the Related Web Page for access to the Butler County Tourism Council site.
Thanks to 'stone' for originally placing these caches.
