Park at N39 51.248 W076 06.875 Follow the Red blazed trail. This 123 acre park is located in Southern Lancaster County. It is named after the late Theodore A. Parker III, who was an internationally known ornithologist from Lancaster County. In this preserved gem, Stewart Run tumbles over rocks & waterfalls to create one of the County's most pristine streams. Visitors can hike along a trail that parallels this stream & the sheer walls of rock that help to create this isolated valley. The flora throughout this tract is also impressive. Spring visitors may find trout lillies & violets carpeting the forest floor. In the upper section of the ravine, club mosses, ground pine & other ferns, & lichens give the visitor an idea of the forest that once made up so much of the Keystone State. Animal life is also abundant, including deer, raccoon, opossum, & both brown & brook trout. Bird enthusiasts will find excellent opportunities in this quiet glen. Fishing is permitted in this park during authorized seasons, hunting is prohibited.
