Geocache Description:

Along the Appalachian Trail. You are looking for a cloth tape camo covered 35mm with log only. BYOP

I went hiking from Streets gap. Got as far as here before I ran out of time and had to turn back.

The name for this cache came from all of the trash that was left by campers here. Hauled out an entire bag of trash. Bring a bag to pick up litter on the way back.

Cache is at trailside, no need to get off the trail. Please cover back up like you found it or better.

I placed this on the way to Big Baldy, hope more will find the time to hike this section of the AT. If you can make it up Left Higgins Creek road, there is a Forest Service road that has had some work done on it recently (10/13/05) Hopfully the road will dry out and be passable by 2wheel vehicls.

Streets Gap is at: 35 58.128 82 32.419

Big Baldy cache is at: 35 59.411 82 29.516

Road up is steep and slick at times ESPECIALLY after a rain or sleet storm. 4x4 recommended.

You can however walk up, 1.35 mi (line of sight) from the end of paved road at Right Higgins or Upper Higgins Crk End of paved road: 35 58.602 82 32.084
