This 4 stage combination lock mystery cache is based on the movie
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. It will bring you to a
beautiful and historic area of Pictou County, The Hopewell
Footbridge. To get the most out of this cache, it is highly
recommended that you do it at night. Beware of muggles if
you’re doing this cache during the day. The coordinates at the top
of the page are for the parking area. The cache hunt will take
approximately 40 minutes to complete.
The lock numbers are hidden throughout the cache hunt and the order
you find the numbers is the order you use on the lock at the final
cache. The numbers to the lock are found on the sacred stones you
are trying to rescue. Bring a pen to mark the numbers down. It is
suggested you do this cache with a friend, so one person can play
the part of Indy and the other can be Shortround. ( I know who I
would want to be.) Read the paragraphs below as you complete each
stage of the cache.
And so your journey begins...
You and Shortround have landed in the Indian jungle after escaping
from your plane which has crashed into a mountain. You travel down
a jungle trail and find yourselves at a native village and are
welcomed by a native shaman. The shaman informs you that the
village is under a curse and the village's sacred stone has been
stolen by the Maharajah of Pankot. Well Indy off you go to Pankot
Palace to find your first sacred stone at coordinates

Pankot Palace
While in the palace you find a hidden passageway. You decide to
follow the tunnel to see where it leads. You, along with
Shortround, travel down the tunnel until at last you find yourself
staring down into a colossal subterranean temple, the Temple of
Doom! You witness the terrifying Thuggee ceremony where the High
Priest of the evil cult, leads a throng of chanting worshipers in a
ritual sacrifice to their bloodthirsty goddess, Kali, whose giant
statue looms above them all. After watching the ceremony, you
descend into the silent temple to retrieve your second stone at
coordinates

The Underground Mines
Seconds after retrieving your second stone, you and Shortround are
captured by Thuggee guards working in the underground mines beneath
the palace. The evil High Priest unveils to you his incredible
plans. Enslaved children are in the mines searching for the last
stone. When the stone is found, a terrible power will be unleashed
and Kali will rule the world! You are then forced to drink "the
blood of Kali" and fall under an evil spell and assist in the
preparation for a ritual sacrifice. Fortunately for you, before you
can complete the ritual, Shortround escapes and brings you to your
senses by hitting you with a torch. You overpower the guards and
run into the mines freeing the children while grabbing the third
stone at coordinates

The Great Escape
You and Shortround race through the tunnels in mine cars while
being pursued by Thuggee guards. Other guards demolish the supports
of an enormous underground cistern, releasing a monster tidal wave
that crashes through the mine tunnels and threatens to sweep you
and Shortround away. In the nick of time, you exit from a tunnel on
the side of a mountain, just barely ahead of the booming water. You
find yourselves on a ledge hundreds of feet above a
crocodile-infested river gorge. Only a rickety rope bridge will
lead you to freedom and the native village where you will find the
cache at coordinates.
