[FIN] Kätkö sijaitsee aivan Varkauden keskustan tuntumassa Ämmäkosken rannalla, pienessä saaressa, jonne johtaa hyväkuntoinen puinen silta.
Keväisin ja muulloinkin tulva-aikana Ämmäkoski kuohuu valtoimenaan ja on näkemisen arvoinen paikka.
Runsaimman kevättulvan aikaan kätkön loggaaminen voi olla haasteellista, jopa mahdotonta.
9.-15.6.2014 Varkaudessa järjestetään vuosittainen Vekara-Varkaus-lastentapahtuma, jolloin saari toimii Seikkailujen Saarena ja sinne pääsy voi olla rajoitettua ja/tai maksullista.
[ENG] Cache is located quite close to the center of Varkaus by the rapids of Ämmäkoski on a small island. There is a wooden bridge to the island. In Spring there is lot of water in the rapids and the place is very nice. During the biggest Spring flud time it might be challenging or even impossible to log the cache.
9.-15.6.2014 during the annual "Vekara-Varkaus" Children's Summer Festival the island acts as 'The Island of Adventures' and the entrance to the island may be prohibited and/or a small entrance fee collected.
