Geocache Description:

New Info: The area is very much changed ....
No more Stage One ... Just go to the Coords in the hint!
Another entry in the “We NEED Some New Caches” Series!
This Multi-Cache is in a different area of a place everyone knows!

Charlotte Sports Park, on State Road 776 in Port Charlotte, is operated by the Charlotte County Parks & Recreation Department. The Center Piece is a 5,332 seat stadium, clubhouse, baseball and softball fields and open grounds available for festivals, concerts, large shows, expositions and sporting events. As you might remember, this was the off-season home of the Texas Rangers. (The Texas Who ???)
However ... NOW this 82-acre park is the Spring Training Home of the Tampa Bay Rays and Home of the Charlotte Stone Crabs, the Tampa Bay Rays High-A affiliate.

Master plans for the Charlotte Sports Park include construction of an aquatic center, recreation center with fitness room, a large community playground, clay tennis courts with a stadium court, group picnic shelter, with plenty of special events parking. This park connects with Tippecanoe Environmental Park and will become the entrance to walking trails, a boardwalk and a canoe launch and the future development of the Mid-County Park on O’Donnell Road.

The First Stage (See Gallery for a BIG Hint) will give you the coordinates for the final Cache, which is a medium sized container that contains assorted stuff.

BUT WAIT … There’s more!!!!

YES !!!! A genuine TATES Compass !!! (See Note)
was used to place this cache and was given as a First-Finders Prize!

Both parts of this Cache in places that can be reached without going near the stadium ...
AND you won't even need to move your "Cachmobile" to get to the Stage Two Final.

In case there is some activity in this area, please use reasonable stealth and re-hide all parts as you found them. Thanks!!

An Historical Note: The Tate Manufacturing Company made compasses that were so inaccurate and unreliable that it was widely said that …

“ He who has a Tates is lost !!!”

Congratulations to dajoneses for getting the FTF prize!
If anyone sees them wandering around lost because of this, please help them!
