We wanted to give folks an easy cache in this neck of the woods. This one is literally, no sweat. The coordinates were a little sketchy, but the hint is quite helpful.
Sweat Creek is located on what used to be the North half of the Colville Reservation, which was originally intended to stretch to the Canadian border. In the early 1900s, this site served as the Sweat Creek Ranger Station, one of 6 ranger districts in early Okanogan County. In 1925, most of the Sweat Creek District was given over to the State of Washington in exchange for other lands. Since that time, Sweat Creek has been variously a campground, a great place to party, and even abandoned for a few years. It is now a staging area for people who want to explore some of the local trails.
