Geocache Description:

A country walk along both tarmac and grass, with a few nettles at the hiding place. Dogs need to be on a lead as this is a Game Bird Conservation area.

The above co-ordinates are for the Institute Building at Bridge of Earn.

Here you will find the Memorial Cross. Take a look at the cross and the plaques on it and answer the following questions.

A) How many serpents heads are carved on the cross? (*6)

B) The plaque on the front starts with a Capt. R. Bruce. How many McDonalds are listed?

C) On the back of the plinth, how many words are carved into the stone? (2*)

D) Now drive(or walk) to the car parking co-ords, noting the number on the railway bridge as you drive over it. (8*)

Car Parking at 56.20.957/003.24.914

This is a narrow country lane with soft verges, and used by tractors, so probably best to park at the entrance beside the "Dunbarney Walks" sign. Look out for the family of Stoats that criss/cross the road along the way.

E) As you walk along the lane, look to your right just before you get to the first speed hump. The railway line is just over the stone wall, there is a round white sign with a letter on it for the train drivers. What is its corresponding number in the alphabet? (2*)

F) Further along this lane, you pass farm steadings on your right. There is a cockrell wind vane on the highest apex, how many large circular objects are under it? (*)

The cache can be found at 56.21.ECF/3.26.ADB

The cache container is a small lock n lock box with room for small swaps only.

From this cache you can continue on along the lane (on foot only) to the next cache "The Forgotten Windmill" - passing a field of Deer along the way.

Suitable for a robust buggy.
