This cache is located in the Coldstream Cenotaph Park on Kalamalka Lake Road. Most people drive by without realizing that this is a tiny hidden gem. The park is divided in two sections by a creek and shrubbery. The street side is the war memorial, and across the bridge is a small circular playground, which holds “riding” equipment, benches and a picnic table.
Our 5 year old granddaughter - Rugrat #2, Katie, wanted to put out a birthday cache on her 6th birthday. She selected the site, I helped her with the hiding spot, and she picked out the cache contents. Katie hopes you enjoy this quick geocache! Here's a poem she wrote: "This is my birthday cache What do you see? I see a playground and some trees!" Happy Birthday Katie! May 5/09 Had to change from a large container holding birthday items to a smaller container for now. Sorry. Sept./11 Had to change from small container to micro as always getting muggled. Nov./15 Katie has just turned 16! Have changed the container to a peanut butter jar and rehid it in the original location. Hope it lasts awhile. Oct. 2020 Time flies! Katie is now 20! This cache is old!
