THE CAYUGA CONFLUENCE WINTER CACHE IS LOCATED ON THE GROUNDS OF THE BOWEN GROVE IN LANCASTER NY NEAR THE CONFLUENCE OF THE CAYUGA AND LITTLE BUFFALO CREEKS
This is the winter version of the Cayuga Confluence Cache. The summer version has been archived as we don’t expect many cachers to be wading in Cayuga Creek once the snow starts to fly.
This cache is located on the grounds of the Bowen Grove which is owned and operated by Erie County. Off street parking is available in the grove parking area on Bowen Road in Lancaster NY. We found no posted time restrictions while placing the cache.
The cache itself is a 7.62MM ammo can which we applied our camouflage paint pattern to. The hike from the suggested parking area is approximately 500 feet and the first 450 feet will be across a lawn, boy are we getting soft. Very minor bushwhacking is necessary.
Hey, now that we’ve lured you to Lancaster with an easy find why don’t you make a day of it and head into nearby Como Lake Park for some fun. Within the park boundaries you will have access to the following caches;
