Nice walk in the Vinemont area. Park at the SGL parking lot down the road from my Yard Sale Cache. Please respect the hunters and follow the SGL rules and regs.
2/27/11. Moved about 550 feet to get it away from the new clearcut. New location so previous finders may find again.
This is part of a walk my 4 year old daughter and I have been taking since she was about 2 1/2. It is not a really hard or long walk but it always amazed me how she could walk this far and never complain about it...thus the name. This is the first one she placed with me (my second) and she pretty much filled the ammo box with toys she said she wanted to share with others. There are some grown-up things in there too. I have placed a $5 bill inside for a KFTF (kids first to find). I hope the adults will respect this and leave it for the KFTF. $5 aint much to an adult nowadays but I thought it would put a smile on a childs face.
I estimate it should be about a 1.2 mi. round trip. I forgot to check when I placed it. You can go down the powerline and let your kids slide on their butt down the hill like my daughter does or walk across the powerline at the top and follow the logging road. This is an easier walk that is not much longer and takes you to the same place. Please BE CAREFUL on the wooden bridge!!! It was built to take the logs out but is old and has some holes in it. Also if you follow your arrow from the start you will cross private property. Please DO NOT do this. Once you get to the creek you're free to go how you want. It is hidden rather well since hunting season is here now but I give a good clue if you need it. Please rehide well. Have fun and be careful.
