This quick cache is Located at Lobs Pound Mill/Marion Woods. Nice area for familys, kids and fishermen. A few picnic tables and a Canoe launch for the Ipswich River. Parking can be found at the trail head N 42 33.665 W 71 06.584.
Lob's Pound Mill is a historical site located in the north west part of town, next to the Town Forest. As you go through a narrow path, you will come to an opening and see the remains of the old mill. All around you will see tall grass and to the left you can see a retention wall. If you go 50 feet farther you can see Lob's pond. If you go left towards a bridge you will see a small waterfall under the bridge. If you go towards the pond you will find a path that is to right of the pond and it is about 50 feet long.
This cache is for kids of all ages 0-105! Container is a clear Tupperware container with a Clear lid. I will be waterproofing this container before the rain this weekend but it's currently placed and good for now. Water level has been high lately and I suggest boots or old sneakers as some areas are soggy. Trail in some places is covered with water but you can bushwack around the wet areas. Normally the water is low.
Original contents include Log book with pen and pencil, The Key Bug TB, Soldier #180 from Geocachearmy.com, Compass lanyard, foaming body scrub (good stuff!!), Magic Rings, Butterfly Temp Tatoos, Handwarmers, crayons, Smiley face antenna ball, empty 35 mm film canister and a FTF prize of a brand new Star Wars Darth Vader Pez!! New addition Pez just released today in stores!!!
