In the Spring we finished off Funky's
All Corners of Moncton Puzzle Cache
We were unsure of a couple of our figures, but we did all the
calculations and decided to go searching for the cache.
Our calculations brought us to a road on the edge of a park in
Moncton. Funky had hidden a couple of other caches along this road
so we felt re-assured about our calculations. We walked about 800
meters on this road and came to a logging road heading to the east.
Incredibly, the GPS was telling us that the cache was 700 meters
straight down the logging road. We were now convinced that we had
done our calculations correctly.
We walked down this road until the GPS indicated that our goal
was 29 meters into the woods. All excited, we headed into the
woods. What a great spot Funky had chosen. There were literally
dozens of great hiding spots in these woods. We searched them all
and searched them all again. We spent about an hour at this spot.
No luck.
Disappointed, we left. After re-interpreting some parts of the
puzzle, we re-did our calculations and discovered that the the
final cache was at an entirely different place.
We then decided that everyone should come look for a cache at
the same place that we did. But we have a confession to make.
When we went to place the cache, we found that the ditch at the
edge of the woods looked a little messy and treacherous so out of
pity for Moncton cachers, we decided to place the cache a short
distance away. The location is not quite the same but we think
everyone should still
BLAME IT ON FUNKY
