Geocache Description:

The Two-way Toots series consists of 2 main caches and 2 bonus caches, all situated in the beautiful Essex countryside between Toot Hill and North Weald. The Train Trail follows a broadly circular route for around 3 miles.

This cache forms part of the Two-way Toots series of four related caches:

The coordinates above are NOT the cache location. Tree Trail and the Train Trail are back-to back circular routes taking in stunning views of the local countryside. Finding either one of these enables you to find Three for the price of Toot as the coordinates are contained in within each.
To find Two-way Toots: Trophy Treasure you need to have visited all the other three, as each one contains partial coordinates for this bonus cache.

The Train Trail takes you through woodland alongside Seven Springs Lake, out into the hilltop fields with fantastic views across the countryside, past the old Marconi buildings (the place you can't quite see is a disused military redoubt), through a field full of concrete blocks once used to anchor the radio masts which covered the hilltop, through delapidated dairy farms, past 16th century Dial House, the commune home of agit-prop punk band Crass, and over and under the volunteer-run Ongar Railway.
Follow this link to learn more about the Marconi buildings; or about the 19th century redoubt .
