Enjoy this 3.5 hours return, easy but with steep pinch walk on a 448 m. high mountain with a panoramic view. On your return you can check BBQ's and public facilities. Sorry no dogs are allowed.
This is our first cache placement. As in the bushwalkers spirit we want this cache to be placed outside of CBD but not too far (petrol!) of course.
Captain John Hayes renamed this dolerite mountain in 1794 after D'Entrecasteaux has named it before.
Firstly drive yourself to a place where Hobart's domestic water supplay is stored.
WP1 42°48.313S 147°20.273E
In the car park find the telephone No. for Hobart Water, when you are concerning about facilities on this area
6D336E33 w/h.
From here you proceed to
WP2 42°48.328S 147°20.093E
and find the opening date of this structure by D.A.Cashion on 2C.11.A9GB, and then continue walking to
WP3 42°48.049S 147°19.678E, cross a gate and follow the walking track to
WP4 42°47.640S 147°19.430E.
The arrowa on a tree will show you the way to the GZ, which is at
