Geocache Description:


Cache is located along the shores of one of the lakes at Clemson Research Center. Enter the Center using the dirt road at the light on Clemsom Road. Follow signs to the lakehouse. The cache is hidden to the left of the lake house. It is not necessary to drive your vehicle into any unauthorized area to find this cache.

The tree cover is heavy in the area of the cache. The coordinates given are averaged. The cache is well covered but should not be to hard to find. You may have to do a little searching though.

The container is about half the size of an ammo box. It is a tupperware type container wrapped in camoflage tape.

Cache contents are:

From 1865 shipwreck 23 miles off the coast of South Carolina – none are cleaned, exactly as I found them when diving the wreck -
Several .54 caliber Spencer bullets, round shot and grape shot
Cased ball point pen
2 Mardi Gras doubloons
3 “You Make My Day” coins
Pack of miniature play money
Carabiner key chain
Neck lanyard
Log book and pencil
6 Portraider wood geocoins
3"x5" geocache sticker for your next cache
2 really neat Manatee dollar bills

Leopold II 5 franc silver coin, dated 1875 (same size and weight of US silver dollar) in small blue drawstring pouch
