The Ark Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Balayang: I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no action to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, DDTs, requesting additional time.

An ample opportunity has been provided for the Cache Owner to respond, but since this opportunity has been ignored, I can only conclude that the cache has been abandoned.

Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache, by somebody else.

Geocache Description:

Even if you are familiar with the story, we think that you should first visit: (visit link)
If you just read, you will lose the full effect, but in case you have problems, here is the transcript:

THE UNICORN
A long time ago when the earth was green,
There were more kinds of animals than you'd ever seen.
They'd run around free when the ark was bring born,
But the loveliest of them all was the Unicorn.

CHORUS:
There was green alligators and long-necked geese,
Some humpty-backed camels and some chimpanzees,
Some cats and rats and elephants,
But sure as you're born
The loveliest of them all was the Unicorn.

Now God seen some sinning and it gave him pain.
And he says, "Stand back, I'm gonna make it rain."
He says, "Hey Brother Noah, I'll tell you what to do,
Build me a floating zoo."

CHORUS:
And take some of them green alligators and long-necked geese,
Some humpty-backed camels and some chimpanzees,
Some cats and rats and elephants,
But sure as you're born,
Don't you forget my Unicorn.

Old Noah was there to answer the call.
He finished up making the ark just as the rain started falling.
He marched in the animals, two by two
And he called out as they went through.

CHORUS:
Hey Lord, I got your green alligators and long-necked geese,
Some humpty-backed camels and some chimpanzees,
Some cats and rats and elephants,
But Lord, I'm so forlorn,
I just can't see no Unicorns.

Then, Noah looked out through the driving rain,
Them Unicorns were hiding, playing silly games,
Kicking and splashing while the rain was pouring.
Oh, them silly Unicorns.

CHORUS:
There were green alligators and long-necked geese,
Some humpty-backed camels and some chimpanzees,
Noah cried, :Close the door cause the rain is pouring,
And we just can't wait for no Unicorns

The ark started moving, it drifted with the tides.
Them Unicorns looked up from their rocks and they cried,
And the waters came down and sort of floated them away.
And, that's why you've never seen a Unicorn to this very day.

CHORUS:
You'll see green alligators and long-necked geese,
Some humpty-backed camels and some chimpanzees,
Some cats and rats and elephants,
But sure as you're born, you'll never gonna see no Unicorn.
Shel Silverstein

There are many routes to this cache, we don't even know that the way we went was quickest, so we won't tell you where to park! This cache is in a fenced off area with a warning sign (not keep out, just a warning), so if you think there is a hazard do not cross the fence - to us the fence seems to constitute more of a danger than the hazard that it encloses.
Whilst you are in the area, you might like to visit the sister cache to this one, Missed the Ark.
Please swap animals in pairs - otherwise they will be most forlorn!
