Buell Forest Intro Cache Traditional Cache

Park at N41°18.758 W072°32.021 off of Cream Pot Road.
Although you may be tempted to find other ways to approach the cache, please stay on the marked blue trail. There is no bushwhacking necessary.
The Jesse H. Buell Forest is the second-largest property owned by the Clinton Land Conservation Trust. It is maintained by volunteers from the CLCT and the Connecticut Horse Council’s Volunteer Horse Patrol, and is a great place for horseback riding, dog walking and hiking. You are looking for a medium-ish camoflagued lock-n-lock type container. This is my first hide.
UPDATE - 5/16/06: The Land Trust has blazed a new, yellow trail off of the blue trail. Conveniently enough, it hooks up with the blue trail again practically at the cache location and makes for a nice little loop, mostly downhill. I'd suggest this route for future visitors, or do the loop in reverse for an uphill hike – the yellow trail will start on your left just past the cache.
