This cache commemorates the event cache "Lunch at the Spit" which
was supposed to be a Saturday cacher's Lunch at Sidney Spit.
Unfortunately, the dock had been pulled up for the winter, so not
having a dingy with us (we expected to tie up at the dock) we were
unable to go ashore to have lunch at the spit.
We (Landsharkz, Min3D, D-Tour and NightFox) decided to go over
to Fulford Harbour for lunch instead. So, as with our event... this
cache starts at Sidney Spit, and takes you to Saltspring
Island.
Unlike us, you don't need to go to the Spit to do the
projection, but if you want to, its a great spot to spend a sunny
afternoon (bring a dingy if its not summer)!
The posted coordinates will take you to a lighthouse on Sidney
Spit. From there, go 8.23437 nautical miles at a bearing of 328.947
degrees around the round world that we live on. Here you will find
the cache.
