Located in Humbug Mtn. State Park at the peak of Humbug Mtn. itself.
Trailhead is right on Highway 101 - can't miss it. The trail to the top splits into the East and West trails at about the one mile mark but come back together at the top. I suggest taking both. The West trail is a little shorter but I thought a little steeper too. The West trail also has a really nice view up the north coastline at one point about halfway to the top. There is a small grassy clearing at the peak. One would hope for a beautiful panoramic view up and down the coastline from this peak but alas, no. The fir trees around the clearing are too tall to see much from the peak.
Locating the cache isn't very difficult. I don't want anybody going to all this effort to climb to the top and not find the cache. It's located at the base of a V-shaped fir tree about 40 feet SE of the bench.
