Geocache Description:

A short walk and a bit of history make up this cache. Don't spend too much time on the roadways as the muggles tend to be a bit preoccupied. Park outside if you approach by car, or take the train with a short walk.

All the co-ordinates are 37 51.XXX and 144 52.XXX, so only the decimal part has to be calculated.

4. Beri Beri
(H)(D-B)(G) (E)(A+1)(D+B)

Beri-Beri was a tropical disease of the greatest antiquity. It dropped out of sight of European practice, until an epidemic in Brazil in 1863, and the opening up of Japan, where it prevailed extensively. It haunts low-lying districts along the coast, and the banks of rivers. Moisture and high temperature are required to develop its activity, which is further favored by bad ventilation, overcrowding and underfeeding. Another strongly supported hypothesis is that it is caused by unwholesome diet. The experience of the Japanese navy points strongly in this direction. Beri-beri was constantly prevalent among the sailors until 1884, when the dietary was changed.
