Ron & Lois: Received a call from a cacher friend today, saying that they stopped by this one and found the fence and fake rock that was the hide for this cache missing. Apparently some thief thought they needed these things more than the owners. At least they left the cache container there. Cache is being permanently disabled because of this, maybe we'll place another in the parking lot to replace this one. Thanks to everyone who found this cache.

Geocache Description:

Located on private property adjacent to a small park along the St. Joe River in Mendon, MI. Accessible from the parking lot off M-60 between Blue Bird Cafe and Dragon Tears Stained Glass Studios (public parking with a flight of stairs down to the park) or from parking in the park at the same level off Nottowa Rd. Elevation about 800 ft.

This is a memorial cache to a very friendly white Boxer named Seth. He loved all people, especially children and was the greeter at our friends stained glass studio.

Seth would have loved to personally meet every cacher who comes to visit his site, so we thought it would be a fitting trilbute to bring more people around his home.

We have stocked the cache with new dog toys & accessories as well as some kids' toys and other trade items. There are also two travel bugs in the cache to start with...McNeedles, a brand new travel bug being launched from this cache and Pere Marquette, a more experienced traveller.

We have the permission of the property owners who are our friends and Seth's "parents". There may be muggles around, so some stealth may be required. It is not necessary to climb the rocks or walk on the flowers, nor is it necessary to cross the decorative fence in order to reach this cache.
