De Duine Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

XantheTerra: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

We placed this cache after a long and eventful day traversing Damaraland as part of our journey from Beira, Mozambique to Swakopmund, Namibia during the 2005 Overland Challenge Finals. This was the second of the two new caches we placed on the journey.

We trust that you will enjoy this oasis as much as we did after your long travels through this beautiful land.

NOTE: The cache was replaced with a micro container placed in the yard, when the establishment was sold and closed down and the information below no longer applies.

The cache is a galvanised tin box with a hinged lid (approximate size 200mm x 120mm x 90mm).

It contains the following items:

Brush; pens; pencils; pencil sharpener; mud hut; Malawian coins; N$7 with letter; small leatherman; 100 Filipino pesos; 2 lighters; log book; Dubai keyring
