Start your journey near the Staheli Farm area in Washington Fields.
The pavement ends at N 37° 4.896 ; W 113° 29.696 and you will go
West on a dirt road for approximately 1.89 mi then turn North
toward the cache; download the .loc file listed below in red.
I drove to with hiking distance with my '95 Geo Prism but recommend
taking a SUV or truck. Check weather conditions, you will go
through several small shallow washes but if there was heavy rain
you may be in a pickle. The cache is a medium size ammo box that is
in good condition. It was packed full of contents that kids would
love, I hiked up there with my two-year old son in the Kelty
carrier. The cache is titled as it is near some old prospecting.
Anybody know what they were mining? Appears to be quartz but I am
not sure, give it a look! I took three photographs the day of cache
creation. Check them out prior to the journey for a preview of the
vegitation and scenery in the area. Get the three coordinates for
the trailhead, turn off, and the cache in a .loc file. You can open .loc files
and upload the data directly to your GPS by getting free
EasyGPS software
