Welcome To Pennsylvania TB Hotel Traditional Cache
coterm59: Checked this cache today. It was about 6' off the ground in a sturdy tree.
The tree & many others were swept away by the flood of the Susquehanna River.
Stopped in the Welcome Center to see if the cache was found but it was not. The damage was apparent in a large area of the Southern Tier. Chuck

The NEW PA Welcome Center - I81S
A NEW POLICY GOES INTO EFFECT IMMEDIATELY AT THE TB HOTEL. MANY SUGGESTIONS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED BY THE MANAGEMENT BOTH PRO & CON IN REGARD TO POLICY. THEREFORE WE'LL TRY A NEW ROUTE. PLEASE TRY TO TRADE FOR BUGS BUT IF THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE FEEL FREE TO TAKE ONE WITHOUT A TRADE UNDER THE CONDITION THAT YOU CAN HELP IT TO ACHIEVE ITS GOAL. ALSO WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAINTAIN THE HOTEL. PLEASE DROP OFF ANY TBS YOU FEEL CAN BE MOVED IN THIS HOTEL. I'LL FROM TIME TO TIME CHECK THE INVENTORY & TRY TO MOVE A BUG TO A NEW HOTEL IF I FEEL THE NEW HOTEL MAY BETTER SERVE IN OBTAINING THE BUGS GOAL. THANKS .... CHUCK
This Plastic Cache is supplied with a pencil, Log & 5 Travel Bugs. Trading or dropping off TBs is ok.
I'm opening another TB Hotel at the Whitney Point Rest Area, NY on 81.
Also have another Hotel on the Thruway & that is finally supporting itself.
This might not be available in deep snow. I left it off the ground but waist deep snow will be a challenge. Forgive me but it was hid on Halloween. :)
While here go for the other cache, I Will Give You Rest (GCQGER), which is about 600' from the Hotel.
I found "I Will Give You Rest" via 81S to NY Exit 1 then Rt 11 South to the new Rest Area. While there I spoke to the people in charge & was given permission for my cache. They said the Welcome Center is to open on Nov. 9th & it'll be reached directly from I81. It is ok to reach it by Rt11 now but the Bldg is still closed till Nov. 9th.
