La maison Marsil

Cet endroit est situé sur la promenade Riverside, à Saint-Lambert.

Cette maison patrimoniale est reconnue comme bien culturel par le gouvernement du Québec depuis 1974. Sa construction date approximativement de 1750, sur une terre ayant appartenue à la famille Marsil. La famille Marie l'a conservé jusqu'en 1826, alors qu'elle est rachetée par un descendant des Marsil et cette famille l'occupe jusqu'en 1935. Elle devient par la suite propriété de la ville de Saint-Lambert.

Cette maison fut convertie en musée dans les années 1970 et le musée Marsil ouvrit ses portes en 1979. Ce musée oriente ses expositions vers le costume, le textile et la fibre. Pour en savoir plus sur ce musée.

This place is located on Riverside drive, in St-Lambert, on the immediate south shore of Montreal.

This patrimonial house is acknowledged as a cultural estate by Quebec's government since 1974. This house was builded approximately in 1750, on a land that was formerly owned by Marsil family. Marie family owned the house till 1826; a descendant of Marsil family then bought the building. This family occupied the house until 1935. The building became afterward a property of St-Lambert town.

This house was converted to a museum during the 70's and the Marsil museum opened his doors in 1979. This museum orients his expositions about the costume, the textile and the fiber. To know more about this museum.
