Geocache Description:

The posted co-ordinates will find you at what remains of the Deborah Mine, located above one of this cities many gold bearing seams, and now situated in a commercial and urban area close to city center. This particular reef was accessed by the South Deborah, Deborah, Central Deborah and North Deborah shafts, amongst others. All that is now evident are some relics, such as remain on this site, and the Central Deborah, now dewatered and re-commissioned as a fully working tourist mine, providing an underground experience for the general public.

The object you seek is nearby these relics.

Due to recent wet weather subsidence, the area of interest has been securely fenced and capping over the main pit is to be reinforced. Considering the possible long delays by the authorities in making this site tourism friendly again, (if ever), we have relocated a 300ml container, with log book, pen, and some trinkets for family swaps, outside the barriers in a more muggle prone environment.

With that in mind we have complicated the method required to extract the container from its niche, primarily to thwart curious muggles interference, and advise geo searchers to bring a magnetic tool to enable container retrieval.

Previous finders are welcome to try their luck here again and record another find.

A recent maintenance visit reveals the main site is now available again with aging timber removed from the elevated structure and secure fencing installed around the poppet head and mine opening covered.
