Yes, I kinda, sorta, oughta (closely related to woulda, coulda, shoulda) quit chewing Altoids gum. It’s an addiction, almost as bad as those for chocolate and geocaching. As a way to recycle those little tins, I’ll bring you to some places I am addicted to visiting. So take a deep breath, relax, and plan on just strolling to find these caches and get notches on your geocaching belt for pleasant visits. (They no longer make gum and I have run out of containers, so this is now a key holder)
Yes, I can already hear some of you saying, “Oh no! She found another place related to trains.” You’re right. This beautiful old building used to be the Chehalis train station. It now houses The Lewis County Historical Museum where there are wonderful artifacts to be found both inside and out. It is well worth the entry fee if you enjoy train history.
If you have the time, I encourage you to explore inside the museum. The volunteers welcome all with open arms and gladly answer any questions you may have. One of them helped with research for history related to the location of another cache. The curator’s brother is a cacher and she encouraged the placement of this cache.
And yes, while I was there at least 3 trains went by. Oh joy!
