This cache is placed in Side Cut Metropark. Depending on environmental conditions there could be special equipment required, thus the terrain rating. I placed it on a beautiful sunny 70 degree day, the 3rd of November.

At the time it was placed there was no special equipment required and it would be rated a terrain 2. There are times of the year when access to the island is prohibited and dangerous due to high water. Check for a sign that the Metroparks places, most likely in the spring after we’ve had a lot of rain, that says access is not permitted.
Be sure to check out the other caches in this park, they are all worth your trouble. Official Metroparks hours are from 7AM to one half hour past sunset.
