Take the first road on the left if entering Allanton from the Edinburgh side or the last road on the right if leaving Allanton from the Newmains side at N55 48,135 W 003 49. 518
Park at N55 46. 586 W 003 47, 189, the road for the last ½ mile near the cache site is kind of rough and you may wish to park earlier and walk the rest of the way but it is driveable with care.
This is a sister cache to "Not Amsterdam" (GCP8XX) and gives you another close up view of the windmills, the cache road also takes you to a monument similar to Peden's Stone (GCJNJV) and is a reminder of another Covenanter preacher, a sign on the road states "Situated in a remote spot across the moors from this point lies a monument erected in 1836 to commemorate the holding of the first conventicle or prayer meeting in June 1680 and in memory of the preacher James Renwick, hung in Edinburgh in 1869. The monument was erected with funds from a sermon preached by Rev. John Graham of Wishaw to a congregation estimated at 5,000."
Also close by is a trig point for anyone who is into bagging trig points.
