You’ll start off with a fairly easy waypoint, a survey marker.
Transpose a couple of #’s and you’ll be off for waypoint 2.
Waypoint 2 is found by taking the top three numbers on the
survey marker and adding 247, then insert into N°43 39.xxx. Now
take xxx and subtract 83 and insert into W°116 16.___.
You’ll find a trail about 50 paces past SW 5.1 that will take
you to the waters edge. Parents, the waters edge may be slippery,
water depth is 4’, and overgrown with moss. . . need we say more?
Once found, remove the rope that holds this waypoint in place.
Realize that this waypoint is under tension. Do not add to this
tension, release it. Unwind the waypoint to reveal the last 3
digits of the north and west coordinate for waypoint 3. There
should be no need to actually touch this container, coordinates
should be visible from shore. Please guide the string when putting
this waypoint back as you found it.
Waypoint 3 is a micro that is hidden close by, coordinates for
waypoint 4 should be visible.
Waypoint 4 is a micro container within a micro container. Don't
try to dig this one out, it's spring loaded. Once found, open the
lid, then pull down slightly on the infamous speaker wire to pop
inner container out. Coordinates for the cache should be visible
once container is exposed.
The cache is a 50mm ammo can hidden well by its surroundings.
But wait, there’s a 2nd cache?
2nd Cache: Please look around carefully before attempting to
“release” the 2nd cache. You’re about to release a 30 lb weight,
and something is going to happen. Don’t give yourself a rope-burn;
the effect we are looking for comes by just letting go. Make sure
all in your party are standing clear of the rope before releasing
it, preferably on the side of the log you came from. Hook the
weight back up as you found it before putting the cache back as you
found it.
Beware of
Muggles!
This is right off the greenbelt and can be a high traffic area
at times. Try and be discreet when leaving the greenbelt, except
for the occasional fisherman or homeless, this area is rarely
visited. Please make sure to look around carefully before gathering
up any of the caches.
The final cache may be a bit tricky at times due to the
greenbelt being within view. Caches are well stocked, with
non-dollar store items. Ok, some of the kid’s stuff you might find
there, but please trade properly. This cache was meant to be fun
and challenging, but not impossible. Email us if you’re having
trouble locating a waypoint, or if you think that one of the
waypoints is missing or malfunctioning. Enjoy!!
