Help a Bugger Out! Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

ZSandmann: Really sad to let this one go but it sounds like the area has really changed since 2005. This was my last active Colorado cache and a reminder of the great times we had there while I attended CSU. Unfortunately most of my geocaching friends in the area have moved or aren't very active cachers anymore so I will regretfully archive this one so another cacher may use the spot. It is a beautiful location along the Poudre so I know someone will use the space better than I am. Cache on and Go Rams!

Geocache Description:

A nice short multi. You should find the walk easy enough, the hide is tricky, but not hard, lots of muggle traffic, approach from the back side so you aren't on the trail. Almost wheelchair accessible except for the last 15 feet.

Welcome to the Help a Bugger Out Cache.

Our first hide in Colorado! I can't believe it took us so long. The impetus for this hide was a growing collection of travel bugs that needed to move along on their journeys. So here's the deal:

1.) Start in the parking lot for the Poudre Trail on Overland Trail. It's just north of the bridge on the west side of the road. From here go to the start coordinates for the cache as listed above: N 40 37.338 W 105 08.401
Here you should see two signs, one for the Poudre Trail and one for the Pleasant Valley Trail. Here is your first trial: The cache is going to be found in Lions Park, find this on the Pleasant Valley map. Now look up the number associated with this park in the information on the left. What year did the old pub get razed (rased)? Use the last 2 digits of the year below. I.E. 19XX
To find Stage 2:
ADD (XX+23) to Stage 1 northing decimal minutes
ADD (XX-3) to Stage 1 westing decimal minutes

2.) Good now at this location read about the CLP NHA. Make a 5-digit number from the numbers on the scale, I.E. ABCDE
To find the cache:
ADD (C+E+60) to Stage 2 northing decimal minutes
ADD ((B+C+D+E)*4) to Stage 2 westing decimal minutes

3.) Go to the cache. There are some tags, bags, and rubber bands in the bag with the log, you should take a minute to fill one out for any travel bugs you leave and attach it to it. These tags will help the next cacher decide which bugs to take.
If you don't have a travel bug you may trade items, and there are some non-TB items in a baggy that you can trade for including: Off Wipes, a bookmark, a deck of cards, bottle opener, battery powered fan, 1 Million Dollar bill.
Please sign the log as well. Thanks for visiting.

PS: Please be very stealthy.
