I always love coming home to the little Georgia town where I grew
up. Looks like this place grew up after I moved away. While
visiting, I like to hunt for local caches and now hide a few that
my family can maintain. I have a lot of memories of growing up
here, so most of my Valdosta hides have personal significance....
or was just a great hide I couldn't pass up!
My mom drove me through a neighborhood today to show me some new
houses being built. As we drove by she said, "by the way, there is
Doc Holliday's house." "What? THE Doc Holliday? OMG, I'm making
this into a cache." I did a little research and yes, Doc Holliday
is a Valdoston. After I hid the cache, the owner of the house left
and I spoke to him and he confirmed. The house was built in the
late 1870's and was eventually moved to this neighborhood... at
least the front of it. Beware of muggles... there are a lot of them
and it isn't easy to look inconspicuous in this place.
