In early 1900's the U.S. government began purchasing land to build what is now Fort Knox. Mount Eden was one of the many small communities that disappeared as more purchases were made. The church was moved to its present location on Highway 44. But the cache is located a short distance from the church, at the edge of the Mount Eden Cemetery.
Please be kind to this area. The cache log is inside a 4" X 6" X 3" clear waterproof container. There is a logboo and two mechanical pencils in side. There is room for some small items. When originally hidden, leaves were used to conceal the container. It was hidden with 13 feet accuracy, according to my GPSR.
This cache was created, hidden and is maintained by a member of the Heartland Geocachers, GEOCKY, INKY and MAGC.
