Geocache Description:

Do not park at auto company. Enter from back near Quality Inn. Walk around fence. No need to go inside. North wall. No need to move rocks on top of wall. We just stumbled upon this place while out driving around. Please be respectful of your surroundings and place the cache back as found.

Did you know, that here is Francois Leonard Gregoire de Roulhac de LaVergne. He was born in France in 1767. He moved to Rutherford County in 1822 and settled near here. This town where they settled had been called "Buchanansville" or "Rutherford City", but Francois decided the town needed a post office. The day he died-23rd of August 1852- the people in town changed the name of the town and named it for him. Where his home was is now the Firestone plant.
