Geocache Description:

Cache is hidden in a 1700 cemetery which most people don't even know exists.

Peet Cemetery was ground used by the Peet family for many years as a private family cemetery. In April 1812 the town of New Milford purchased it with the stipulation that it would remain a cemetery. It is a wild-looking place but has charm. It is hidden from view but you should have no problem finding it. There are two twenty feet rocks with two indentures made in the ground. Samuel Peet used to come here several times a day to pray. These indentures are said to be from his knees. Park along side the road by the bridge and walk in by the brook. The cache is within 20 feet of Samuel Peet's headstone.
