Deep Canyon w / View Traditional Cache

This is Deep Canyon between Redmond and Sisters.
How many times have you drove this road (126)and never knew this canyon was there? Well at least never realize there was a road down there you could drive on? LOL Took us about 12 years! There are several ways to get down. The hard way of which I went in and the easier way...the way I came out.
Best have a 4x4 for this one. Most is good but some parts are rough and steep. And thats just getting down to the canyon. While in it the road is great. Nothing really special about this spot but what caught our eyes was the awesome rock formations and colors down through here. Also the nooks and crannies in the rocks to check out. We found it when looking for a place to ride the quads. Good trails for quads,bikes and 4x4's.
The cache is a ammo can full of goodies and a TB.
Head to sisters from Redmond. Watch for the guard rail as you reach the canyon. Turn right at the yellow mailbox half way of the guard rail. Stay to the right. From there you and your gps are on your own. No fences to cross or gates to open n close. No private property to worry about. There is private property out there but you will only pass it by.
Its one of those "watch for sneaky critters" places. In the summer for sure.
I'm always in awe of these places. The Good Lord knew exactly what He was doing!
